The matrix server seems to have several rooms that are gated on access by a Matrix Space, however the space is not in the room directory and there is no automatic invite for server members into it.

I didn't see a way to say "everyone on @*:v.st can join" the space. Is there a better way to create a semi-private shared set of rooms for the server?

There is that, however it would require that space to be public which is not ideal...
It looks very likely that a bot is needed to handle this.
